Aneiro Taño

Born in La Habana Cuba, child prodigy starting his musical career at 6 years old and completed his musical studies including violin, trumpet and piano at Conservatorio Nacional de Musica Amadeo Roldan at age 18.

In Cuba he produced some of the most important artists at the time like Alfredo Rodríguez, Hector Téllez, Donato Poveda, Amaury Pérez (Music Director), Rebeca Martínez (Music Director), Raquel Hernández (Music Director), Xiomara Laugart, Rolando Ojeda (Music Director), Omara Portuondo and many more.

He was a part of numerous important musical acts with artists like virtuoso Trumpet player Arturo Sandoval (musician 1987), Cuban Singer -Song writer Amaury Pérez Vidal (Musical Director 1988-1990) just to name just a few.

He produced music for the film ”De tal palo tal astilla”  along with his father Tony Taño for which  they won an award for the best sound track in the Festival de Cine de Cádiz, España in 1987 & Vals de La Habana Vieja.

In 1991 he moved to Mexico where he actually resides building an impressive career where he has produced some of the big artists in the scene like Francisco Céspedes, Lila Downs, Fernando de La Mora, Armando Manzanero, Manuel Mijares, Dulce, Betsy Pecanins, Shayla Durcal, Dennise D’ Kalafe,  Juan Gabriel, Cesar Rodríguez, Carlos Cuevas, Rigo Palma among many others

In 1992 he received his first USA GRAMMY nomination for the production of the album Calle Latina 1992 by Jose Feliciano, after that he has received over 30 GRAMMY Latino nominations and 4 for the GRAMMY USA

He has been awarded with 7 GRAMMY Latinos and 1 GRAMMY USA with singer Lila Downs, Pianist Fernando Otero and with the Spaniard Nina Pastory
